Known by many other names as ampoules or boosters, the term “serum” is more commonly known and they all serve the same treatment purpose for multiple skin concerns as redness, aging, dark spots, hyperpigmentation, acne scars, etc. Serum is normally formulated with a thicker consistency texture that has more concentration of active ingredients that you can use after toner/essence step and before adding a moisturizer.
